Property Detail
Description
A striking architectural residence where thoughtful design and exceptional outdoor living come together in the heart of Mar Vista. Originally conceived by award-winning architect Don Swiers, the home has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its architectural integrity and seamless connection to the surrounding landscape. At the center of the home, a beautifully reimagined kitchen and dining area opens through dramatic bifold doors to a tranquil outdoor living space, creating effortless indoor-outdoor flow for entertaining and everyday living. The home's signature living room features soaring ceilings and dramatic architectural windows that fill the space with natural light, creating a sense of volume, warmth, and connection to the outdoors. Beyond, the backyard unfolds as a private retreat with spaces to dine, entertain, play, and unwind from evenings around the firepit and dinners beneath the trellis to a hammock, outdoor shower, and bocce court. Rich in character and functionality, the home offers 3 bedrooms, a loft office, family room, newly installed hardwood floors, skylights, a rooftop patio, mid-century-inspired baths, abundant storage, custom cabinetry, and a service kitchen for guests or ADU potential. Previously featured in Sunset Magazine, this is a rare opportunity to own an architecturally significant home that embodies California living in one of the Westside's most sought-after neighborhoods.
