This 1937 home in Upper Nichols Canyon served as both sanctuary and working studio for Gertrud and Otto Natzler, among the most important ceramicists of the 20th century. Wilkes, AIA, for photographer Gail Reynolds Natzler, his second wife after Gertrud's passing in 1971. The addition introduced a studio and darkroom below and a vaulted primary suite above, both with wraparound balconies and canyon views.The detached Natzler ceramic studio suite above the garage includes a kitchen, small bedroom, and bath. The property abuts the Briar Summit Open Space Reserve, ensuring lasting privacy and an enduring connection to nature a living reflection of the Natzlers' creative legacy.
